Taylor Acorn shares new single Crashing Out ahead of debut album Poster Child
Taylor Acorn returns channelling high-energy early 2000s pop-punk nostalgia
Taylor Acorn has shared her new single and video Crashing Out which lands ahead of her debut album Poster Child.
The track follows previous releases Goodbye, Good Riddance and Hangman. Produced by Dylan Bauld and co-written with Mandy Lee (MisterWives), Crashing Out blends soaring hooks with crashing guitars and vividly personal lyrics. “Crashing Out is a song that I wrote with Dylan Bauld and Mandy Lee from MisterWives and it’s one of my favourites off of the album,” Taylor Acorn said. “It has such an infectious nostalgic feel to it, it’s super upbeat and just an all around great vibe. You can dance to it, you can crash out to it, in which I’ve done both. I think the fans will really love this one and I’m so excited for everyone to hear it!”
The accompanying music video showcases Acorn’s signature blend of vulnerability and confidence — with a sound rooted in the grit of early Avril Lavigne and the melodic fire of Paramore.
Acorn’s genre-blending style has gained consistent support across streaming platforms. She’s been featured on Spotify’s Pop Punk’s Not Dead, New Noise, and Fierce Femmes, alongside Apple Music’s Punk, Feeling Blue, and New in Alternative, and Amazon Music’s Breakthrough Pop and Fresh Alternative.
This autumn, Taylor Acorn will bring Poster Child to the stage with appearances at When We Were Young Festival and Warped Tour, followed by a North American headline tour and a one-off UK date at London’s Electric Ballroom on Friday 19 September 2025.
