Rainbow Kitten Surprise share new single ahead of September album

Manchester gig confirmed for Monday 8 June 2026 at O2 Apollo

Rainbow Kitten Surprise have unveiled their new single 100 Summers, the latest preview of upcoming album bones, set for release in September. The band will perform in Manchester at O2 Apollo in June 2026 as part of their bones UK and Ireland tour.

100 Summers arrives with a striking video and sees the band delivering what frontwoman Ela Melo calls their “raw, unfiltered sound”.

Speaking about the track, Ela Melo said, “This record is the raw unfiltered sound of Rainbow Kitten Surprise doing what we love to do. This is more raw than just about anything I’ve ever written, so, yeah, I sat there and cried with it for a second. You know when you’re able to talk about hard shit because you’ve already had to deal with it, and so now the healing of it is what’s coming up. You’re trying to make sense of what happened to you, and why, and ultimately, hopefully, forgive yourself and forgive whoever. So I think 100 Summers is doing that.”

bones follows 2023’s LOVE HATE MUSIC BOX, the band’s first album in six years. The previous release received praise from publications including Consequence, Paste, SPIN, and Billboard, and saw renewed attention for 2018’s How to: Friend, Love, Freefall, with its standout track It’s Called: Freefall recently hitting #1 on the Billboard TV Songs Chart after its placement in Ginny & Georgia.

The new record lands amid their sold-out Thanks For Coming North American tour, which has featured unreleased tracks from bones, livestreamed sets via Nugs, and a fourth consecutive sell-out at Red Rocks Amphitheatre. The band are also supporting LGBTQ+ rights and mental health access through their Rainbow Kitten Surprise Fund, launched in partnership with PLUS1.
