English Teacher announce This Could Be A Remix Album ahead of Manchester gig

English Teacher unveil remix album with SHERELLE, Baxter Dury and Fontaines D.C. DJs

Leeds quartet English Teacher are set to release their new collection This Could Be A Remix Album ahead of a Manchester gig at the Albert Hall. The reimagined LP features 13 remixes and reinterpretations of their 2024 Mercury Prize-winning debut This Could Be Texas.

The project includes contributions from cult favourites and genre-defying producers including SHERELLE, Fontaines D.C. DJs, Baxter Dury, Daniel Avery, Max Cooper, and Working Men’s Club. Alongside edits and covers, the collection reframes the band’s lauded debut as a communal creative statement.

English Teacher — Lily Fontaine (vocals, rhythm guitar, synth), Douglas Frost (drums, piano, vocals), Nicholas Eden (bass), and Lewis Whiting (lead guitar) — called the process collaborative and celebratory. Speaking ahead of the release, they said, “So grateful that some of our favourite contemporary artists and friends were up for doing this with us x”

The remix album arrives shortly before the band’s largest UK tour to date, which includes a sold-out headline at Manchester’s Albert Hall on Wednesday 20 November 2025.
