After the success of the expanded version of their critically acclaimed album Screen Violence: Director’s Cut Chvrches will hit the road next week.

The seven-date tour will culminate in a Manchester gig at the O2 Apollo.

Screen Violence: Director’s Cut featured three new songs – Killer, Bitter End and Screaming.  The album was released two days before Halloween as a thank you to the fans for the reception to Screen Violence.

The album immerses itself in a cinematic universe, embracing eerie darkness, disillusionment and fear.  On the new tracks, frontwoman Lauren Mayberry says, “This album was thematically so different to previous CHVRCHES albums that it would have been rude of us to let Halloween come and go without injecting some more Screen Violence into it. ‘Killer’, ‘Bitter End’ and ‘Screaming’ were all started in 2020 and finished just after the album was released. As any good horror fan knows, just because the film ends, it doesn’t mean the story does.”

Chvrches will play seven dates across the UK opening with a Dundee gig at Fat Sams.
