Black Honey are back with their outstanding second album Written & Directed, which follows their hugely successful self-titled debut.
Written & Directed is set for release on Friday 19 March and comes with a slightly heavier feel than their 2018 release, which we previously chatted to Black Honey about.
But whilst Written & Directed does have this stronger approach, it retains all the essential Black Honey elements – it’s largely upbeat, doesn’t compromise on addressing personal topics and above all has the incredible cinematic, soundtrack feeling they have become renowned for.
In support of the album, Black Honey have also announced a UK tour including a Manchester gig at Manchester Academy 2.
We chatted with Black Honey’s Izzy B. Phillips about the album, writing music and choosing the tracks which make the cut.
