Wolf Alice land Mercury Prize nomination | Manchester gig in November
Mercury-shortlisted album The Clearing supports seven-date UK & Ireland tour including Manchester gig
Wolf Alice’s latest album The Clearing has been shortlisted for the 2025 Mercury Prize. The nomination lands just weeks after the band’s fourth album hit the top of the UK charts. In support of the album Wolf Alice will headline a UK and Ireland tour opening with a Manchester gig at the AO Arena.
With this nomination, Wolf Alice become the only band in the prize’s history to secure nominations for every album in their discography. Their first nod came in 2015 for My Love Is Cool, followed by a Mercury win in 2017 for Visions Of A Life, and a 2021 shortlist spot for Blue Weekend.
Speaking about their fourth nomination, Wolf Alice said: “It’s an honour to be shortlisted for a Mercury Prize for the fourth time. As an institution, it’s always championed leftfield and alternative music and put it in the spotlight for a mainstream audience, which is just amazing. It’s been an important part of the Wolf Alice story and something that’s always so fun to be a part of.”
Wolf Alice also recently shared the official video for Just Two Girls, taken from the album.
