Wolf Alice have announced a headline show at Manchester’s AO Arena as part of their upcoming UK and Ireland tour. The Manchester gig is one of seven UK and Ireland dates they have confirmed in support of their fourth studio album, The Clearing, set for release on 29 August 2025. The tour follows their scheduled summer festival appearances at Radio 1’s Big Weekend in Liverpool next week and Glastonbury.

The UK and Ireland leg of the tour is part of a 43-date run which also includes dates across North America and Europe.

News of the tour follows the recent announcement of Wolf Alice’s first single from the album Bloom Baby Bloom.  The track is accompanied by an official video directed by Colin Solal Cardo.  The first taste of upcoming album The Clearing, it signals a period of growth, evolution and expansion.  Wolf Alice frontwoman Ellie Rowsell said of the single “I wanted a rock song, to focus on the performance element of a rock song and sing like Axl Rose, but to be singing a song about being a woman.  I’ve used the guitar as a shield in the past, playing it has perhaps been some way to reject the ‘girl singer in band’ trope, but I wanted to focus on my voice as a rock instrument so it’s been freeing to put the guitar down and reach a point where I don’t feel like I need to prove that I’m a musician.”
