IST IST announce 2026 homecoming show at Manchester’s Albert Hall
IST IST mark 10 years with Manchester show and new album plans
IST IST have announced their biggest headline show to date, taking over Manchester’s Albert Hall. The one-night-only homecoming gig will celebrate their 10th anniversary and coincide with the release of their fifth studio album, currently in progress.
Speaking about the upcoming show, IST IST said: “Playing the Albert Hall in our home city is a bit of a pinch yourself moment for us but it’s also the culmination of over ten years of hard work as a band. It’ll be a big celebration for us and all our amazing fans who’ve been with us on this long and winding journey throughout the music industry, life, lockdowns and whatever else has been thrown at us along the way. We deserve it and they deserve it.”
Operating with a fierce northern DIY work ethic, the band have an ever-growing back catalogue of successful studio and live releases. Self-releasing their entire repertoire through their own Kind Violence Records label, the band’s output has been championed by BBC Radio 1 and BBC 6Music, Radio X, XS Manchester and more.
The Manchester gig follows a strong run of releases, including their 2024 album Light A Bigger Fire, which reached #25 in the UK Album Charts, and live records On Fire and Live In Italy. The band’s recent European tours included sold-out Italian dates and a date at New Century Hall in Manchester.
