Puzzled Panther to release vinyl version of new EP ahead of Manchester gig
Vinyl release lands as UK tour kicks off
New York-based “psychosleaze” outfit Puzzled Panther have confirmed the vinyl release of their sophomore EP Fits of Serenity. The pressing coincides with a UK and EU support run alongside Gogol Bordello, including a Manchester gig at Albert Hall.
Fits of Serenity blends the sonic grit of NYC’s alt-rock underground with the swagger of Manchester’s Madchester era, forming a kinetic new hybrid the band refer to as “Psychosleaze.” Released digitally earlier this year, the EP was shaped with help from notable producers Nick Launay — who worked on their debut Smoke and Mirrors We Broke — and Adam Greenspan, who mixed the new track Give Em Nuff Velvet Rope.
The EP follows a busy year for Puzzled Panther, whose lineup includes Victoria Espinoza and Kay Bon Tempo alongside Gogol Bordello’s Eugene Hütz, Yeah Yeah Yeahs’ Brian Chase, and Rob Mellinger. Recent tour stints have included the US, Canada, and Europe, with the band continuing to work on their debut full-length LP while maintaining a heavy live schedule.
