Taylor Acorn confirms new album Poster Child
Nashville pop-punk artist Taylor Acorn shares new single Hangman ahead of album Poster Child, which lands in October 2025.
Taylor Acorn will release her long-awaited album Poster Child in October 2025 via Fearless Records. The announcement follows nearly a decade of independent releases and marks her first full-length since signing to the label.
Drawing on the late-’90s and early-2000s pop-punk that shaped her sound, Poster Child blends high-energy hooks with raw emotional storytelling. The 12-track album includes previously released singles Goodbye, Good Riddance and newly shared Hangman, as well as new material such as Theme Park, Cheap Dopamine and Masquerade. Acorn worked with producer Dan Swank (All Time Low, Cassadee Pope), combining vulnerability and vocal power across songs that explore identity, heartbreak and healing.
Speaking about new single Hangman, Taylor Acorn said, “The idea of Hangman came about during a time when, even though everything in my life was going well, I felt emotionally stuck—like the universe was playing a weird game with me. I’d be having the best day, and then boom—my car battery dies. One time, I literally looked up at the sky and yelled, ‘Oh, come on!’ I think a lot of us feel that way sometimes. Why can’t we move on from a relationship or situation that no longer suits us? I imagined the universe playing hangman as this fun visual—despite how emotional the song feels. It’s a different little spin on being down on your luck and trying to move forward.”
Acorn’s bold return follows the 2024 full-length Survival In Motion and builds on her recent streaming success across Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon and Pandora, with playlist support from Pop Punk’s Not Dead, Fierce Femmes and New in Alternative. Her sound has been likened to the emotional bite of Avril Lavigne and the energy of Paramore, bringing a modern spin to pop-punk for a new generation.
