Yes Lad have announced that their debut single Walk Away, set to impact on 28 April. The single, already in the top 5 in Music Week’s club charts, was written by the band and produced by Sky Adams and marks the introduction to five local musicians, Cian Gleeson (20) from Bolton, Joel Healey (19) from Swinton, Sonny Hardman (18) from Atherton, Lewis Maxwell (17) from Maghull and Jake Donlan (20) from Colne in Lancashire.
To celebrate the release, the band, who are mentored by Nigel Martin Smith (previously the manager of Take That) will be performing a series of secret gigs including one in Manchester on 11 March. To find out where the gig will be, fans will need to register on the group’s Facebook page.
Clearly confident and happy about the group’s ability and prospects, Nigel Martin Smith commented, “We’ve had three different line-ups and it’s taken four years to get Yes Lad where I want them to be, but now they’re ready and raring to go. They live for music.”
