The Goa Express will headline at YES Manchester on Friday ahead of a set at Neighbourhood Weekender.

The Manchester gig comes ahead of further festival dates at In It Together Festival and Primavera Sound in Barcelona.  They recently performed at The Great Escape and Liverpool’s Sound City Festival.

The Goa Express dropped their latest single Good Luck Charm last month.  The track embraced the band’s punk urgency, blending it alongside subtle vocals and vulnerability.  “Sometimes, you end up feeling down on your luck and then all a sudden you make the call to get the hell out of somewhere,” The Goa Express said at the time of the track.  “And, out of nowhere, you meet someone and you end up getting lucky again.”

The Burnley founded band features James Douglas Clarke alongside brother Joe and best friends Joey, Naham and Sam.  They racked up more than 100 gigs in 2022 including sets at Glastonbury, Latitude and The Great Escape.  They released their single Portrait shortly after their Glastonbury debut following it up by returning to the studio six months later to record Good Luck Charm in early in 2023.
