Blondes have followed up on the success of recently singles Love In The Afternoon and The Basement with new track Beautiful World.

The new single features on their upcoming EP In Separation and lands ahead of a Manchester gig at Band on the Wall.

Blondes will support Mt Joy at Band on the Wall, one of four UK dates they are playing in June.  They will also support Inhaler at Liverpool’s O2 Academy.

Speaking about Beautiful World, Alex from Blondes said, “Beautiful World feels like our first proper pop song. It’s my favourite that we’ve written so far. It’s about our relationship with our environment and each other. We wrote it to speak not just for ourselves but to anyone that finds themselves looking around at our world and wondering just how we’ve become so disconnected from one another and the planet. We hope you like it.”

Upcoming six-track EP In Separation is part produced by Rich Turvey and Anthony Genn.  It features the band adopting a warm and effervescent tone, whilst taking on subjects including disconnection, separation and reconciliation.  Blondes will release In Separation on 14 July.  Speaking about the EP, the band explained, “In Separation is a collection of songs written and recorded over the past two years. It’s a project that explores the ways in which we become disconnected from one another, taking you on an emotional journey through separation to reconciliation. It speaks to the ways we live with, and without, each other. We feel it reflects more of the breadth of our songwriting than our first project, with us having matured a little both personally and musically since Coming Of Age and our Out The Neighbourhood EP.”
