Sarah Klang has shared her new single Worst Mom, offering a glimpse into the twists and turns of new motherhood. She has shared the single ahead of a run of UK shows including a Manchester gig at YES.
The Swedish artist will also be headlining dates in Brighton, London, Glasgow and Leeds in October.
New single Worst Mom features on Sarah Klang’s upcoming album Mercedes which lands on 20 October. The album finds Sarah Klang leaving her twenties behind and welcoming her first child. It’s 10 tracks promise a deeply personal but commonly shared experience about the beautiful and also the challenges of motherhood.
The new release highlights the rollercoaster of emotions which feed through as she desperately sings that she feels like the worst mom. “It was important to me to show all the sides of motherhood,” Klang explains. “The good and the bad days.” The track is accompanied by a video, which led Sarah Klang to add, “It’s a twisted, exaggerated nightmare day as a new mother. It’s
almost like a parody of the feelings you experience. This is how I could FEEL when I was sleep deprived and my baby had been screaming for three weeks. I also wanted to capture sleepless nights and endless walks. And the great love for your child.”
