Harriet has shared the latest track from her current album The Outcome in the form of new single Heartbreak Holiday.
The album has hit the number 7 spot in the Official Record Store Chart and number 38 on the official physical album chart as well as number 17 on the official independent albums chart. The sophomore album received a strong critical reception on top of the trio of strong chart positions.
The singer and songwriter wrote and recorded The Outcome over the course of several trips to Sweden. The album is the second full-lengther from Harriet following her 2016 self-released debut album, which was followed by a Deluxe Edition and string of EPs in the form of The Universal Sessions, Cover Stories and Winter Stories.
New single Heartbreak Holiday marks a pop anthem from the singer. It captures the liberation and empowerment of putting romantic woes in the past and heading back out into the world to a soundtrack blend of pop-country, glam-rock and retro vocal harmonies.
Speaking about the track Harriet said, “Heartbreak Holiday is the eureka moment when you finally realise that there is life outside of your comfort zone. You’re ready to break your own rules and to hell with the consequences!”
Harriet wrote Heartbreak Holiday alongside producer Anders Hansson and country/pop songwriter Sharon Vaughn.
