Olivia Rodrigo has released her highly anticipated second alum GUTS. The multi-platinum selling, three-time Grammy winner has released the album as the follow up to her smash high debut Sour.
The new album features her number one single vampire. The track provided the first hint of the album back in June, picking up critical and fan acclaim. The single proved to be Olivia Rodrigo’s biggest debut on multiple platforms, debuting at number one on the Billboard Hot 100, breaking Spotify records and hitting the number one spot at Top 40 Radio and the UK official charts.
Follow-up single bad idea right? also landed strong critical acclaim alongside its B-movie-inspired video.
Guts was produced by Olivia Rodrigo’s frequent collaborator Daniel Nigro. The album lands as Olivia Rodrigo prepares to perform at the MTV VMAs 2023.
Thanks to the success of vampire and her 5x Platinum debut single drivers license Rodrigo is now the first artist ever to debut the lead singles from two career-opening albums atop the Hot 100. She’s also the youngest artist in Hot 100 history to debut three hits at No. 1, while Sour is the fastest album in history to have all its songs certified RIAA Platinum.
