Manchester synth-pop five piece The Navettes return with the new EP Beautiful, Bittersweet on 15 July.
The new EP comes after the band has picked up support from ITV’s This Morning, BBC Introducing and Yamaha. They have also been highly active on the Manchester music scene this year, with performances including the Deaf Institute, Jimmys and Night People.
Speaking about Beautiful, Bittersweet which boasts a nostalgic feel good sound, inviting comparisons with 80s synth-pop, The Navettes commented, “To us ‘Beautiful, Bittersweet’ reflects on love and relationships we have both witnessed and experienced. Each song is a stage of a relationship from the first moment of infatuation to the ironic ending in Paris, a city renowned for romance. It’s been over a year in the making, perfecting the songs alongside shaping our sound. We’ve spent a long time getting it to where we wanted it to be.”
The three-song EP features latest single Asleep alongside the tracks Forever/Always and What About Paris?
