Mabel has released her latest single One Shot ahead of her UK tour which includes a date at Manchester’s O2 Ritz.
The tour will include her biggest headline show to date at London’s Brixton Academy. Mabel announced her UK tour and Manchester O2 Ritz gig in June following a headline show at Band on the Wall.
Speaking about One Shot, Mabel describes the track as being “so important!” . “After Finders Keepers and Fine Line” she continues, “I wanted to make another up-tempo, playful track that people could dance to. ‘One Shot’ is about playing hard to get and knowing what you want. I do believe that when it comes to relationships that you have to set the bar high and know your worth so that you never settle, and that’s what ‘One Shot’ is about.”
2018 has been a break-out year for the singer. Five weeks in the top 10 for platinum-selling breakthrough single Finders Keepers led to Mabel’s nomination for her first ever BRIT Award (Critics’ Choice), extensive European dates with Harry Styles, her sold-out headline tour (including London’s Kentish Town Forum) and increasingly-surreal experiences around the world.
One Shot gives another taste of her upcoming debut album which she has been working on throughout 2018.
