Lauran Hibberd has shared the latest album teaser That Was A Joke, following on from previous album tracks I’m Insecure and Step Mum.

The track is out today via Virgin Music and features on upcoming debut album GarageBand Superstar.

Speaking about That Was A Joke, Lauran Hibberd explains, “That Was A Joke lives in a world of denial, and sometimes it’s better like that.  I feel like it could be a soundtrack to an early noughties kids show but the references are too niche for the average Zoey 101 watcher. It felt like a good track to leak, because I can always lean on the title to save my butt if no one likes it.”

Lauran Hibberd again worked with producer Larry Hibbitt on the track.

Lauran Hibberd is set to his the festivals over the remainder of the summer, with sets at Truck Festival, Y Not Festival, Camp Bestival, Kendal Calling and Wide Skies & Butterflies Festival all line up.  She will then tour the UK in September, including a gig at Liverpool’s Arts Club.  Lauran Hibberd has previously wowed Manchester fans, including at the Deaf Institute when Lauran Hibberd supported The Regrettes.
