Katy For Kings has returned with her new single Middle Ground as she builds on the success of previous releases City and Impersonator.

The 20 year old Katy For Kings toes the perfect line between mainstream pop and singer songwriter ballad for the track.  The song finds her addressing uncertainty and low confidence.  “For me, ‘Middle Ground’ represents the feeling of uncertainty around what people’s intentions are with you” Katy For Kings explains.  “It’s about feeling lonely in a crowded room, and the fear of being dropped as soon as something better comes along. It’s not knowing your worth whilst not trusting that things in your life aren’t just down to chance.”

Middle Ground followed a similar writing process as Impersonator and City, with Katy For Kings writing the track whilst playing acoustic guitar alongside Chris Bourne and production coming from John Fields.
