James Hersey supports Canadian music legends Metric at Manchester’s O2 Ritz, one of 19 dates the Vienna born, Berlin based, singer songwriter and producer performs across Europe.
The tour follows the recent release of single Let Go. The track features long-time friend and collaborator filous and marks their first work together since 2015’s How Hard I Try.
Speaking about the single, James commented, “This song is a showcase of something new for both of us. It’s exciting because it came together so quickly that nothing about it is contrived or overcooked. It’s a song for all the best friends out there, who always seem to know when to say the right thing, and how.”
James and filous’ ongoing work together has seen both talented musician’s careers significantly propel through their collaborations. It all started in 2014 when filous remixed James’ track Coming Over after discovering it on YouTube. filous’ remix of Coming Over propelled both fairly unknown artists to become online sensations as the track became a viral hit – now on 51 million Spotify streams. In total James Hersey has racked up more than 350 million streams on Spotify alone through his catalogue.
Let Go follows previous release Real For You and comes ahead of the release of his next EP.
