David Gray announces Manchester gig at Barton Aerodrome
17 UK and Ireland dates announced for his Past & Present World Tour
Following a sold-out global run and a landmark Legends set at Electric Picnic, David Gray has confirmed a new wave of summer 2026 UK and Ireland shows as part of his acclaimed Past & Present World Tour. The run includes a Manchester headline gig at Barton Aerodrome.
The tour follows the release of Gray’s thirteenth studio album Dear Life. Released via Laugh A Minute Records and Secretly Distribution, Dear Life sees Gray collaborate with producer Ben de Vries and marks a return to the emotive songwriting and sonic textures of White Ladder.
David Gray has already sold out 68 shows across the USA, Australia, UK and Ireland during the 2025 tour leg, including nights at London’s Royal Albert Hall, Manchester’s O2 Apollo and Dublin’s 3Arena. The newly added 2026 dates include open-air and landmark venues such as Scarborough Open Air Theatre, Cardiff Castle, and Lincoln Castle.
Speaking about the tour extension, David Gray said: “We’ve had the most amazing tour this year, from the opening night in Boston to the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, and then on to the Royal Albert Hall in London and the 3Arena in Dublin. These have been some of the most memorable and magical shows of my entire career. We’ve pushed ourselves as a band but it’s been richly rewarding and SO MUCH FUN! When everyone is in such fine form it would seem wrong to stop the ball from rolling – so with that in mind I’m delighted to announce a string of further dates for the summer of 2026. Exciting times!”
