A legion of fans descended on HMV in Manchester’s Arndale centre yesterday to catch a set by Neon Jungle as they celebrated the launch of their debut album, Welcome To The Jungle.
Hundreds of fans filled the store, singing and cheering before erupting as the group – Jess (21), Amira (18), Shereen (17) and Asami (18) – made their way onto the stage to perform some of their tracks including Trouble and Louder before finishing with their chart storming hit Braveheart which brought yet more cheers and screaming from the crowd.
After the performance Neon Jungle signed copies of their album for delighted fans and posed for selfies with their rapturous followers.
As you’d expect from Neon Jungle, Welcome To The Jungle is filled with energy, raw power, determination and fierce attitude, creating infectious pop and dance tracks, but there is also plenty of contrast with high energy dance making way for softer beautifully balanced pieces such as Fool Me and a stunning cover of the Banks song Waiting Game, a strong, deep, atmospheric delight.
The release of Welcome To The Jungle is the culmination of a whirlwind eighteen months which has seen them release four singles, sign up with model agency Storm, ink a deal with RCA Records in America, perform at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show in New York and be lined up for festivals including T In The Park, V Festival and Isle of Wight.
Neon Jungle’s debut album, Welcome To The Jungle, is out now.
