Alma has shared the first single from her sophomore album, with the new track Everything Beautiful.  Her new album is set to land in 2023.

The track was recorded in Stockholm with co-executive producers Elvia Anderfjard and Max Martin.  It marks a celebration of life in the face of crises and personal struggles.

Everything Beautiful features Alma’s trademark synths accompanying a mantra that whilst caring and learning is vital, it’s also ok to be naive and stupid.  “Everything beautiful dies is my way of saying that I care and I’m here to learn – but I also sometimes just wanna close my eyes and be naive and stupid. Cause that’s life,” says Alma.

Her new album springs out of a confrontation Alma has with her past.  The new body of work finds her addressing her own struggles and mistakes – it’s about turning personal setbacks in to songs that manage to celebrate life.  “They’re all light and happy – but sad at the same time,” says the songwriter known for her wild and punk-inspired live performances.  “Everything Beautiful is the perfect intro to this new album cycle,” she adds.  “Even though it’s deep and it has this underlying message, it’s still one of the easier tracks on the album. It’s a great way to say: I’ve been thinking about stuff – I’ve been going through my photos and I’ve been really going back into my teenage years. ‘Everything Beautiful’ is pretty much the cover of a book… and then you wanna know what’s inside of it.”

With 650m+ worldwide streams and more than 1 million UK record sales under her belt, Finnish number one songwriter Alma has chosen pop music as her means of expression “because it can be everything: it can be punk, it can be rock, it can be EDM, even classical music, whatever.”
