Alex Spencer confirms Manchester gig at Academy 2 for 2026 headline tour
Alex Spencer has announced a UK headline tour for February 2026, with a hometown Manchester gig at Manchester Academy 2. The date marks his biggest headline show to date. The tour follows the release of his EP Where Do We Go From Here?, and comes off the back of a high-profile summer support slot for The Black Keys at Alexandra Palace Park.
Currently supporting Corella on their autumn UK tour, including a stop at London’s Scala, the 18-year-old artist will headline six cities early next year. Reflecting on the milestone announcement, Alex Spencer said, “I never thought I’d be touring the UK at 18 and playing venues like Academy 2 and OMEARA — that is a proper bucket list moment! These are going to be some of my biggest ever headline shows and I can’t wait.”
Alex Spencer added that fans can expect new material at the shows. “I’ve been working on new music behind the scenes that I can’t wait to play live for everyone as well” he elaborated.
Where Do We Go From Here? marks a creative turning point for the Manchester-raised songwriter. Known for his sharp lyricism and DIY approach, Alex Spencer first built his following busking across the city’s streets. His sound draws influence from time spent growing up in India and Thailand, channelling a distinctive global edge through his guitar-led indie rock.

Alex Spencer headlines at Manchester Academy 2 on Saturday 21 February 2026. The Manchester gig is one of six UK headline dates he will play. As well as the Manchester gig he will also headline a Liverpool date at EBGBS.
