We Are Scientists have announced an eight date UK tour including a Manchester gig at Manchester Academy 2.
The tour opens in London with a secret show ahead of the Manchester gig.
On the tour We Are Scientists will play their second album Brain Thrust Mastery in full alongside other hits. The album featured the tracks After Hours, Chick Lit & Impatience amongst others on its release in 2008. The tour comes as the band prepare to release a deluxe LP reissue, with details coming soon.
Keith Murray from the band said of the reissue and tour, “We’re not the sort of guys who care much about celebrating our birthdays or things like that, but we will do anything for a party. If you tell us that our highest-charting record with some of our biggest singles is being re-released, we’re gonna use that as an excuse to throw a rager in, say, Sheffield. You tell us this is going to be a deluxe reissue thing? In that case, we’re going to need to have no fewer than eight parties, thanks.”
