Snow Patrol have announced a run of UK and Ireland tour dates including a Manchester gig at Co-Op Live.
The Manchester gig is one of eight UK and Ireland dates they have confirmed. They will also headline gigs at London’s O2, Dublin’s 3Arena and Birmingham Resorts World Arena.
News of the tour comes as Snow Patrol confirm details of their new album The Forest Is The Path. The album is the Northern Irish band’s first in six years, following 2018’s Wildness, and is set for release on 13 September 2024.
The album is produced by Fraser T Smith and the band. It has been written by Gary Lightbody, Nathan Connolly and Johnny McDaid
The first taste of the 12-track album has also landed in the form of new single The Beginning. The track was written on a trip to Somerset. Speaking about the origins of the single, Gary Lightbody explained, “The first day we wrote The Beginning, start to finish.” “And he did the vocal in one take,” says Johnny. “Straight after writing the lyrics. So it has this mind-collapsing quality to it where you feel like you’re seeing into someone’s soul.”
