The Mysterines will bring their record store tour to Manchester’s HMV in support of their new album Afraid of Tomorrows.
The Mysterines will release their sophomore album Afraid of Tomorrows on 21 June via Fiction Records.
The 12-track album follows the group’s massively acclaimed Top 10 debut album Reeling.
The first taste of the album landed in the form of the lead single Stray, now followed up by their latest single Sink Ya Teeth. The Mysterines recorded the album in LA with Grammy Award winning producer John Congleton. The album promises a deep dive on The Mysterines’ psyche. As The Mysterines’ Lia Metcalfe explains, “of Tomorrows is a mirror where you find you’re nothing more than a formless being, one made from celestial constellations – of traumas, of the old and new, mistakes, addiction, fear and happiness, loneliness, but ultimately a desire for life and the fight to keep living. It’s a collage of what’s been lost and of love unbounded.”
In support of the album, The Mysterines will head out on a record store tour in June which includes dates at Manchester’s HMV and Liverpool’s Jacaranda Baltic.
The Mysterines will also be performing at a string of festivals across the Summer including 2000 Trees, Tramlines and Y Not before hitting the road again in October for a headline tour which culminates in a hometown headline Liverpool gig at the Olympia.
