Legendary rockers set to return to the UK
Legendary LA rockers Toto have announced a return to the UK which will see them at Manchester’s O2 Apollo on Monday 25th May. The Manchester date is one of only three UK appearances scheduled.
The Evening With Toto comes in the midst of a huge world tour where Steve Lukather (guitar, vocals), David Paich (keyboards, vocals), Steve Porcaro (keyboards, vocals) and Joseph Williams (vocals) will be unveiling songs from their new album, which is due to be released in Spring 2015 as well as performing past hits.
The Toto back catalogue is incredible. As individuals the band members have performed on a simply astonishing 5000 albums which have collected over half a billion (yes, half a billion) sales.
Having spent 38 years together, Toto remains one of the top selling tour and recording acts in the world and their music has found a home on countless television programmes and movies. Such is their appeal that in April 2014, Toto released their 35th Anniversary Tour – Live in Poland DVD which hit the number 1 spot worldwide.
The new album will be their first for some time, in fact since their 2006 piece Falling In Between. It’s one which the band have been working on hard in 2014, with keyboardist and founding member David Paich commenting “The repertoire is coming together so naturally it is as though we never took a break from creating as Toto in the studio. For the fans who have been waiting patiently and continually showing the band support and love over the last decade or so, this one’s for you. Collectively we can’t wait to share these recordings with The World.”
