Interpol – Albert Hall – Sunday 8th February

Indie-rockers Interpol perform tracks from their strong 2014 album El Pintor as well as pieces from their back catalogue including their 2002 debut Turn On The Bright Lights as they make a return to the live scene following a three year break from touring.  One of the most important guitar bands to emerge from the USA in the last two decades, Interpol, will no doubt bring a touch of melodrama, angst, melancholy and doom and gloom, but leave the audience feeling uplifted and knowing that the rocky journey Interpol has taken them on over the years was worth it.

Little Big Town and The Shires – The Ritz – Wednesday 11th February.

CMA Vocal Group of the Year and Grammy Award winners Little Big Town perform at the Ritz just days after the release of their latest album Pain Killer.  Once of the most highly regarded country acts, they make a rare visit to the UK where they debuted in 2013, some 13 years after their debut album which saw tracks such as Boondocks, Bring It On Home, Good As Gone and Grammy nominated Little White Church propel them into the country limelight.  They are joined by UK country outfit The Shires, who last performed in Manchester with an outstanding gig at Band On The Wall in 2014.  More about Little Big Town here.

Kerrang! Tour 2015 – Manchester Academy – Saturday 14th February

The Kerrang! Tour 2015 has already kicked off and will be arriving in Manchester on Valentine’s Day no less, so if the sound of Don Broco, We Are The In Crowd, Young Guns, Bury Tomorrow and Beartooth is your idea of romance (and you’re not alone if it is!), then this is one for you.  Headliners Don Broco have been dubbed the bright, new brute force in British rock, selling out UK tours whilst scooping a number of awards including Best New Rock Act by i-Tunes and receiving a Kerrang! Award nomination.  On top of this they hit the top of the rock charts with their debut album, Priorities and appeared on the main stage at Reading & Leeds Festival.  We Are The In Crowd have been named as the lead support for the tour.  The New York quintet (Tay Jardine on vocals; Jordan Eckes on guitar and vocals; Cameron Hurley on guitar; Mike Ferri on bass and Rob Chianelli on drums) formed in 2009 and released their debut album Best Intentions in 2011 following it up with outstanding 2014 album Weird Kids, to a major muzz.
