2019 Blues Music Award Nominees The Reverend Peyton’s Big Damn Band, hit Manchester’s Band on the Wall as one of four UK dates they are performing.

The Reverend Peyton’s Big Damn Band were nominated for the BMA Award for Best Blues Rock Album on the back of their last 2018 release Poor Until Payday.  The album debuted at number one on iTunes and number 4 on the Billboard Blues Charts.  Featuring the focus tracks Poor Until Payday, Dirty Swerve, and You Can’t Steal My Shine Reverend Peyton uses vintage recording techniques and vintage gear to create a sound that is minimal to the point of sounding monumental.

The Reverend Peyton’s Big Damn Band are led by Reverend Peyton, considered by many to be the premier finger picker playing today.  Peyton has earned a reputation as a compelling performing and icon for the rootsy country blues styles he represents.  Peyton was won over by country blues and blues rock early in his life, travelling to Clarksdale, Mississippi to study under blues masters T-Model Ford, Robert Belfour and David “Honeyboy” Edwards.
