Sophie and the Giants hit Manchester’s Jimmy’s in March as part of their first eve headline European tour.  The run of 11 dates sees them performing across the UK as well as Berlin, Cologne and Amsterdam.

The tour follows on from the success of Sophie and the Giants’ outstanding Adolescence EP last year.  The EP was released in late 2018, topping off what was a hugely successful year for the band.

The Sheffield based band have been busy on the road, supporting the likes of Yonaka and Tom Grennan across the UK and Europe and are now anxious to step out in their own right.  As Sophie explains, “Doing our own European Tour is a huge step for us and something we thought we’d only dreamt of.  After having such an incredible 2018, we’re more than itching to go and can’t wait to meet all the amazing people who are/have been supporting us.

Sophie and the Giants, who formed whilst the quartet were at college, bring together a range of influences from Wolf Alice and Blondie to Jamie T.

Sophie and the Giants are Sophie (vocals and guitar); Chris Hill (drums); Bailey Stapledon (bass); and Toby Holmes (guitar).
