Americana duo My Darling Clementine bring their UK tour to Manchester’s Night People next week.

What began as something of a side project in 2011 for husband and wife Michael Weston King and Lou Dalgleish is now very much centre stage.  My Darling Clementine have now released four albums, performed more than 400 shows across Europe and North America, made some ingenious musical collaborations, scooped accolades and awards, and have an ever growing fan base with a genuine love of their music.

My Darling Clementine released their fourth album Still Testifying, last summer.  The album marked a slight steer away from the classic country style evidence on their 2013 debut How Do You Plead?.  The pedal steel has been joined by horns, the twang has given way to wah-wah & groove guitar, and the fiddle replaced by strings.  They have joyously embraced Gospel and Country Soul.

Still Testifying was recorded in London over the summer of 2016, but features the clear influence of New Orlanes and Alabama.

When do My Darling Clementine headline at Night People?
