After spending a large part of the year supporting Lana Del Rey, KT Tunstall and Birdy on their hugely successful tours, Billy Lockett is set to bring his biggest headlining tour to date to a close over the next few days, with the penultimate show at Manchester’s Deaf Institute on 30th October.

It’s been quite a year for singer/songwriter who also saw his EP Old Man chart highly on the iTunes Album Chart, registering him at the time as the only unsigned artist in the UK Top 100, and at the same point reaching the number five spot on the Singer/Songwriter Charts, rubbing shoulders alongsides Ed Sheeran, George Ezra, Ben Howard and Jake Bugg.

It’s also a year which has seen him pick up supporters across the country with some of the biggest names in the industry lauding him – the likes of Fearn Cotton, Scott Mills, Huw Stephens and Gemma Cairney lauding his song writing ability and Radio 1’s Greg James declaring Old Man ‘An absolutely beautiful new some from … a guy I think is very talented.’

With over 100,000 plays on Soundcloud and countless cover versions of Old Man uploaded to YouTube, it’s clear that his stock and popularity is on the rise.  With a soulful, captivating style, he is an artist to savour – catch the opportunity to see him now.

Billy Lockett performs at The Deaf Institute on 30th October 2014.
