Scottish artist and author Mull Historical Society will bring his unique show to YES Manchester to perform his classic debut album Loss and 2023 album In My Mind There’s A Room.
In My Mind There’s A Room featured thirteen guest authors including Ian Rankin, Jacqueline Wilson, the Booker-winning Sebastian Barry, Alan Warner, 2021 US National Book Award-winner Jason Mott, two Scottish poet laureates in Jackie Kay and Liz Lochhead, booker-shortlisted Stephen Kelman (‘Pigeon English’), Val McDermid, Nick Hornby and Jennifer Clement (‘Widow Basquiat’). The album’s official artwork also came courtesy of John MacLean of The Beta Band.
Now Mull Historical Society, the musical project of Colin MacIntyre, is bringing his first full band performance of In My Mind There’s A Room to Manchester’s YES. He will then perform at London’s Bush Hall the following evening.
Joining him on stage in Manchester will be guest author Val McDermid. He will perform his latest work as well as his gold-selling debut album Loss in full.
The first new album from Colin MacIntyre since 2018’s Wakelines, In My Mind There’s A Room, featured the collaborative singles Panicked Feathers (with Nick Hornby), 1952 (with Scottish poet laureate Liz Lochhead), and Room of Masks (with crime writing supremo Val McDermid).
