Maya Lane has returned with her first new music for 2024 with the single Bump Into Me.

The singer and songwriter ended 2023 with her first ever tour as guest to Far From Saints which included a Manchester gig at the Bridgewater Hall.

Bump Into Me is accompanied by an official video and blends pop and live band elements into her sound.  The track finds Maya Lane exploring inner conflict, self-confident and self-doubt.

Maya Lane wrote Bump Into Me with Rich Cooper, who also produced, and Jonny Latimer.  The trio had previously worked on Maya Lane’s summer single 24F.  As she explains, “Bump Into Me was written in the first writing session I ever had with Rich Cooper and Jonny Latimer. I went in with the first line ‘me and my ego are falling out’ and the idea of wanting to run away from yourself. I am a huge over-thinker and can often get trapped in my thoughts. ‘Bump Into Me’ explores the crazy possibilities you dream about doing when you want to escape from life but also the realisation that no matter where you go, you will always take yourself with you. …

“When writing ‘Bump Into Me’, I instantly had a clear vision for the music video. I wanted to portray the unserious, fun, summer vibe of the song. Melody Berkery and I spent hours searching for a farmer who was willing to let me run around and drive a campervan through their field! We ended up getting so lucky with the weather (UK summer sun is never very reliable) and the video ended up even better than I imagined.”
