Following their outstanding show at Gorilla earlier this year, which featured perhaps the best atmosphere (think South American party beats, with a ton of jazz thrown in) of any gig we’ve been to this year, Molotov Jukebox have announced that they will be returning to Manchester for a show at The Ruby Lounge in November 2016 as part of their Just The Thrill UK Winter Tour.

The news comes after a standout summer and spring which saw them release follow up album Tropical Gypsy and perform headline slots and main stages at festivals such as Secret Garden Party, Kendal Calling, Lakefest and BoomTown Fair as well as internationally in Germany, Spain, Italy, Belgium and Ukraine.

The release of latest track Just The Thrill follows the success of the first two singles from the album Pineapple Girl and If I Knew.  Speaking of the song, singler Natalia Tena commented “This song centers around the idea that a fantasy has more of a pull than reality and maybe because the narrator has been there before, doesn’t immediately fall into fantasy’s arms, get submerged and let go of the anchor that is real life.  It’s a song posed in the throes of a lust affair that may or may not be physical, it could just be all in the narrator’s mind, which adds, I hope, a more desperate lost landscape to the song.  Above all we were trying to make a sexy little song, a number that pinned down the mystery of that chess game that first starts any spark between 2 humans.”
