Mahalia heads out on tour next week with eight dates including a Liverpool gig at the Invisible Wind Factory.

The Leicester-born R&B singer will also take her Letter To UR Ex tour to Dublin, Glasgow, Sheffield, Brighton, Cardiff and Oxford before a hometown show in Leicester.

The tour comes after two years in which Mahalia scooped her second BRIT nomination, featured on Pa Salieu’s debut mixtape, Send Them To Coventry and appeared on Headie One’s number one album Edna.  She also scooped a Grammy nomination for All I Need, landed three MOBO nominations including Best Female Act and Album Of The Year, won two MOBOs and received her first Ivor Novello award for her 2020 collaboration with Pa Silieu on Energy.

Mahalia hits the road after a period which she has described as a time of deep personal growth, a rollercoaster in her personal and professional life.  It’s a period which has led her to hope that her music will encourage listeners to carve out time to look back and re-evaluation.  As she explains, “ We’re all fixated on how we can make ourselves better during and after this period of time but I want people to also reminisce on lovely or painful situations they’ve lived through and how they’ve helped shape the people they are now.”

Mahalia will be supported on tour by Ruti who features on Mahalia’s recent single Letter To UR Ex.
