Mahalia has announced details of her highly anticipated second album IRL as well as a Manchester gig. The singer will headline at Manchester Academy as part of an 8-date UK and Ireland tour.
News of new album IRL comes after the singer shared her single Terms and Conditions last month.
Mahalia’s In Real Life Tour will open in October in Leeds, taking in dates in Manchester, London and more before heading to Europe for a run including Amsterdam, Paris and Berlin.
Mahalia’s debut album Love and Compromise picked up critical acclaim on its release in the summer of 2019. The album weaved soul, R&B and 70s influencers. Her new album promises an introspective of what she has experienced. “This is a real reflection of the journeys I’ve had, what actually happened and a celebration of everyone who got me there. There are names and family members I mention because it all helped in shaping who I am,” Mahalia rationalises. “I’m so proud of this album, and so proud of how much I challenged myself to just let those stories out.”
