Loose Articles share new single Marseille Manchester (In The Area) with Nadir

Manchester punks Loose Articles return with Marseille Manchester (In The Area), a cross-border single project with French rapper Nadir. The track lands on 7” vinyl via ESTAK Productions and Alcopop! Records on Friday 10 October 2025, following a sold-out remix release by The Beatmasters — currently charting at #17 in the Upfront Club Top 30.

Blending punk energy with French rap, the track explores cultural connections between the two cities. It was recorded at Manchester’s Blueprint Studios and paired with a video shot both locally and on location in Marseille. A Mitsubishi sync in France has already propelled the track to wide recognition.

Speaking about the collaboration, Loose Articles said, “We were asked to contribute to this song celebrating the similarities between the cities of Manchester and Marseille. Both cities are alike with their keen passion for music and football and we wanted to bring the fun and our ‘get the party started’ atmosphere to the track as we do with our own music. The collaboration was made possible by many late-night discussions in hotel bars in both cities with our French producers. This song is the result of that. Watch out for Loose Articles In The Area in Marseille and Nadir In The Area in Manchester very soon!”

Nadir added, “Loose Articles and Nadir? What a great collaboration. This track is gonna be an anthem for sure!”

The Beatmasters remix was produced after the band’s appearance at Manchester’s Beyond The Music 2024 and has already gained club support. Pete Brazier and Paul Carter said, “Like Manchester and Marseille, this track is a nonstop party. It was a pleasure to remix and add some Beatmasters magic to its already wild foundations and we’re so pleased with the result—Nadir and the girls’ presence leading the way with some forward thinking electronic music. We’re beyond proud of how the tune turned out. It was a wild ride doing it, but definitely worth the blood sweat and tears. One of our best!”

Loose Articles will perform twice in Manchester this autumn, with gigs at YES Pink Room on Friday 22 November 2025 and Rebellion on Thursday 18 December 2025. Both shows are part of a wider run including support dates with PINS and HOUSE Of ALL.

Marseille Manchester (In The Area) follows the band’s 2024 debut album Scream If You Wanna Go Faster and builds on a riotous live history including slots with New Order, Foo Fighters, Gang of Four, and more. Loose Articles are currently working on their second album.
