Following her UK and Ireland headline tour earlier this year, Lilla Vargen has shared her new single The Lucky One. The Northern-Irish singer-songwriter headlined at Manchester’s Deaf Institute.
The Lucky One marks Lilla Vargen’s first solo track of 2022. Accompanied by a piano the singer explores the feelings of loss. “The Lucky One is a song about loss” she explains, “Not just the loss of romantic love throughout life but also the loss of someone close to me who passed away at a very young age. It was difficult to navigate the feeling of grief and it still is. It’s something that never goes away. We blame ourselves for not being better friends, or better partners, but in reality life goes on, no matter what we do. This song is about a journey through grief.”
