The Hofesh Shechter Company is returning to Home Manchester for a second run of Grand Finale, the ambitious piece which ran at the venue in January 2018.

The Hofesh Shechter Company’s production of Grand Finale features 10 dancers and six musicians in a bold and ambitious piece.  Live music is performed on stage by the sextet of classical musicians.  Choreography and music is by Hofesh Shechter, with design by Tom Scutt and lighting from Tom Visser.

Grande Finale shows a world in free-fall.  The part-gig, part-dance, part-theatre production channels comedy, the bleak and the beautiful to show a world in contradiction, filled with anarchic energy and violent comedy.

The production received its world premiere in June 2017 at La Villette in Paris, in a co-production with Theatre de la Ville.  It has since toured internationally and featured at leading venues and festivals in the UK and around the world.

The company’s exceptional ensemble of dancers including Chien-Ming Chang, Frederic Despierre, Rachel Fallon, Mickael Frappat, Yeji Kim, Kim Kohlmann, Erion Kruja, Merel Lammers, Attila Ronai, Diogo Sousa, with Associate Director Bruno Guillore, come from eight different countries.

Grand Finale is produced by Hofesh Shechter Company, commissioned by Georgia Rosengarten, and supported by the International Music and Arts Foundation.
