Internationally acclaimed cellist Matthew Sharp is teaming up with the Northern Chamber Orchestra for a concert at The Forum Theatre in Stockport in March.
The classical artist and pioneer returns to Stockport following a hugely successful and well-receive concert with the Northern Chamber Orchestra last Spring.

The musician, actor and animateur has previously performe with Opera North, Manchester Camerata and the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. As an actor he has performed principal roles at the Young Vic and National Theatre.
In the run up to the concert Sharp, will be working alongside musicians from the Northern Chamber Orchestra and pupils from Stockport schools, culminating in the performance of Dvorak’s Cello Concerto no 2 at The Forum as well as the overture from Mozart’s Marriage of Figaro, Haydn’s Symphony No 101 and the final two sections of Aaron Copeland’s Rodeo: Saturday Night Waltz; and Hoedown.
One of the Northern Chamber Orchestra’s Artists in Association, Sharp has previously worked on outreach programmes and education with schools in Greater Manchester and Warrington, concluding in concerts at Manchester’s RNCM, Salford’s Peel Hall and Warrington’s Parr Hall.
