Cassa Jackson has shared her new single Right Girl, Wrong Guy ahead of a Manchester gig at Manchester Arena.
The singer and songwriter will perform at Manchester Arena, supporting Blue on their 12-date UK tour. She will also perform at Liverpool’s M&S Bank Arena.
Right Girl, Wrong Guy is a tale of romance drawn from personal experience as she looks to the root cause of a breakup. “It really frustrates me when people try to leave relationships and put it down to ‘right person, wrong time’” she explains. “This song is saying, ‘No, I’m not accepting that! Let’s be honest about why we’re over.’ The problem is rarely about being too young, it is usually about making no effort and not caring enough to stay. Singing this song to thousands of people in an arena is the best therapy to get over a bad romance!”
The track follows her previous self-released songs including Suits U and Parallel Universe which have racked up more than 11 million streams and lead to nominations at the AIM Awards and America’s iHeartRadio Awards.
Cassa Jackson first discovered her love of performing while still at school, but never considered that a career as an artist was a realistic goal until a successful run in a competition lead to a performance at Wembley Arena.
The singer draws her musical inspiration from Miley Cyrus, Halsey and Dua Lipa, taking pop at the highs and lows of young love.
