Rising indie-pop artist Ber has shared her latest single It’s Impressive after a huge demand for the track following teasers.
Sneak peeks of the track generated in more than 3.4 million views and a surge of comments asking her to release the full version.
In It’s Impressive Ber tells the story of a relationship which has everything going for it except the security of actually being defined as a relationship. Ber explains, “It’s Impressive spilled out of me in about 20 minutes one day when I sat down at the piano for my daily write (which was a challenge I had set for myself for the month of January). I was just writing about what was in front of me, which were these very real and confusing emotions I was having for someone who I’ve been ‘dating’ but not really dating. It felt so funny to dissect a situationship in this way, it was so odd how sad I was feeling about something that wasn’t really even real or official. It blew up overnight on TikTok after posting it the same day, I clearly was not alone and situationships are shockingly common now. It was a bittersweet feeling to have struck a chord with this one.”
Ber wrote It’s Impressive which was produced by Brad Hale.
Originally hailing from Bemidji, Minnesota, Ber spent most of her early adult life residing in the UK and also spent time in Norway, where she has family heritage, before returning to the US. Her debut EP And I’m Still Thinking About That and its lead single Meant To Be first grabbed attention with her 2023 six-track EP Halfway picking up more plaudits and focus as well as support from Radio 1, Zane Lowe and Travis Mills at Apple Music 1.
