Critically lauded and hugely influential Belle and Sebastian has announced a gig to take place at Manchester Cathedral on 28th October 2014.

Currently on a short tour of the US and Mexica, where they will be headlining RetailMeNot Stage at the two Austin City Limits Festivals and performing two nights at LA’s Theatre at the Ace, Belle and Sebastian are also set to take to New York’s Radio City Music Hall in June 2015 for one of the most prestigious shows of their career.  The gig wig will follow a special hometown show for the band at Glasgow’s Hydro Arena with the Scottish Festival Orchestra on 22nd May.

The band is set to release its ninth studio album, Girls in Peacetime Want to Dance, on 19th January and have released the short film below capturing the recording process.  Girls in Peacetime Want to Dance follows 2010’s Write About Love and 2013’s The Third Eye Centre.

The gig will also come just a few weeks after Belle and Sebastian reissue their entire catalogue on vinyl.

Tickets for Belle and Sebastian performing at Manchester Cathedral on 28th October 2014 go on sale 9am on Friday 3rd October priced £25.
