Multi award-winning Manchester theatre maker Selina Helliwell will bring a night of music, burlesque and poetry to The Kings Arms.

The Manchester theatre maker is producing the adults only variety night Ember & the Vixens.  The production is based around the theme of vixen, drawn from Selina Helliwell’s burlesque alter-ego Ember Travixen.  There will be jazz music, burlesque acts in various sultry styles and spoken word.

Ember & the Vixens has been put together by Selina Helliwell, the writer, performer and producer behind the award-winning The Formidable Lizzie Boone, which featured at Waterside’s Re:Fract 22 festival, and Burnout.  She is also the writer behind the award-shortlisted digital production Fruit Salad.

Speaking about the event she said, “Come one, come all and join the vixens for an adult’s only night of entertainment, sparkling with burlesque, music and spoken word performances. Find the fiery fox within on August 20th.”
