Wild Rivers have teamed up with singer and songwriter Wrabel on a reimagining of their track Thinking ‘Bout Love.  They will headline at Manchester’s Night and Day in May.

The original version of the track (which has nearly 50 million global streams) is featured on the indie trio’s 2020 EP Songs To Break Up To. It was followed by their latest album, Sidelines, which was released in February 2022.  Thinking ‘Bout You marks a mid-tempo reflecting of heart-ache as love comes and goes.

The new version of Thinking ‘Bout Love features Wild Rivers’ Devan Glover intertwining vocals with Wrabel.  Wrabel himself has also become known for his heart-on-his-sleeve songwriting which balances grand piano-based compositions with achingly real lyrics. His debut full-length album these words are all for you dropped last year.

Wild Rivers (comprised of Khalid Yassein, Andrew Oliver and the Devan Glover) have earned over 250 million streams and a devoted fanbase for their expertly crafted harmonies, introspective lyricism and incredible live show.

Speaking about the new version of the track and working with Wrabel, Wild Rivers’ Devan said, “We have been fans of Wrabel as an artist and a songwriter for a long time, and are thrilled to have him be a part of “Thinking ‘Bout Love”. He brought his own artistry and voice which instantly added another layer to the song. It was a really fun process to start from scratch and completely reimagine the song in the room with him and our producer Stint. The song and lyrics immediately took on a different mood; one that captured the melancholy side of lyrics, but still felt celebratory.”

Wrabel added, “it was such a pleasure getting to work with Wild Rivers. They’re not only so talented but so so kind. It’s rare for me to jump on a song that I wasn’t a part of from conception, but the first time I heard this one I wish I’d written it. It’s just such a beautiful song with so much heart in it. Getting to share time with them and Stint to work this up was so inspiring and I’m very proud of what we did.”

Wild Rivers will be hitting the UK in May, headlining a Manchester gig Manchester’s Night and Day.
