Still Corners have shared their new single and video The Dream which features on their upcoming new album Dream Talk.
Still Corners release Dream Talk on 5 April 2024 ahead of a run of UK tour dates for Tessa Murray and Greg Hughes. They will headline at Manchester’s Band on the Wall in May. The Manchester gig is one of four UK dates they will headline.
The central theme to The Dream is the concept of dreaming about dreaming. It features a gradual build of instrumental sounds and vocals from a sole rhythm guitar through to bass and drums, synths and congas.
The video is based on the duo’s deep love of mystery novels and cosy crime fiction. Tessa Murray plays a new character called “Penelope Braithwaite” as she investigates the “Mystery of the Repeating Dream”. Inhabitants of the fictitious town of “Reverwood, Sussex” have been falling into a repeating dream trap, when they wake up, they realise they are in fact in the same dream. Penelope arrives at a mysterious house to investigate. Does she solve the mystery or is she too stuck in a looping dream? The video was filmed by the band and features steam trains and a dilapidated mansion in vast gardens.
Still Corners recorded Dream Talk across three studios in the south of France, East Sussex and Woodstock New York.
Still Corners are set to headline a run of UK dates in May including a Manchester gig at Band on the Wall.
