Canadian 5-piece July Talk return to the UK for a second headline tour in just six months, stopping off at Manchester’s Night and Day along the way.

The return follows a tour with Catfish And The Bottlemen, a major US tour supporting Nothing But Thieves and the release of the striking video for their single Picturing Love, which was directed by Jared Raab, with the video confronting the effects of mainstream porn on sex and relationships and exploring our insatiable reliance on screens.

Picturing Love was taken from July Talk’s acclaimed second album Touch which was released in the UK via Caroline Records/Universal and also featured previous single Beck + Call.  Both tracks hit the number one spot in the Canadian charts.

July Talk enjoyed a rapid rise – in October of 2012, the band celebrated the release of their self-titled, independently released debut album before a couple hundred bodies crammed into the claustrophobic, low-ceilinged confines of Toronto’s legendary Horseshoe Tavern.  Just three years later and roughly 20 tours later, the band (singers Peter Dreimanis and Leah Fay, guitarist Ian Docherty, bassist Josh Warburton, and drummer Danny Miles) were playing a homecoming date at Ontario’s WayHome Festival for tens of thousands of ecstatic souls shouting the words of their songs back at them and were on their way to releasing Touch and scoring number one hits.

July Talk perform at Manchester’s Night and Day on 7 March 2017.
